Max Perilstein has the glass and glazing industry in his blood.  Thanks to roots that harken back 119 years and a passion for the industry today, what goes on in the present and future of the glass industry is always something at the forefront of Max’s world. 

For the past 25 years, Max has been involved at some of the highest levels in the glass and glazing industry, including time as Vice President of Marketing for Arch Aluminum & Glass, and Chief Marketing Officer for Vitro America.  Max is also very involved with GlassBuild America and lends his expertise to the National Glass Association staff.

Nicole Harris is president and CEO of the National Glass Association (NGA), the largest trade association representing the architectural glass and glazing industry.  She joined the NGA in 1990 as editor-in-chief of Glass Magazine.  Nicole and her staff of 21 association professionals are committed to helping our national and chapter members buld more profitable business.  In addition to its flagship publications  and its annual event GlassBuild America, the NGA is executing on several new initiatives, most recently relaunching online learning platform.  NGA is also engaging in deeper collaboration with other non-proftis to develop education training and materials, and work on technical and advocacy issues impacting the industry.

Greg and the panel will discuss where we have been and where we are headed relative to glass and glazing and energy codes.  A look into the past and a look into the future relative to this very important and ongoing hot topic.

Greg Oehlers has a B.S. Education from the University of Toledo.  During his 43 years of experience Greg has held various positions, from lab tech to his current  position of Executive Director of Architectural Sales.  He has spent his entire working career in the commercial architectural market segment of the glass industry.  He has also worked internationally and have been fortunate enough to have been a part of several landmark projects such as the Hyatt Regency  in Dallas and Burj Al Arab Hotel in Dubai; i.e. Chicago Beach.

 David Linhart is a Senior Sales Manager for  Vitro Architectural Glass (formerly PPG Glass).  Based in Dallas, Texas, Linhart covers  the  Texas, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Kansas and  Missouri areas. His current role has him involved with the Blue Ciel project in Dallas and 1001 W. Chicago.  With over ten years of experience in the glass and metal industry, he has also held roles with AGC Glass Company, International Extrusion, Arch Aluminum & Glass, and PPG Auto Glass. Linhart earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Management from Stephen F. Austin State University.


 Yuwadee is a Regional Technical Advisor  (RTA) with Guardian Industries Corp., one of  the world’s largest glass manufactures with l  eading positions in float and high performance  low-E coated glass products for commercial, residential and transportation applications. Her role as an RTA is to assist and guide design and construction professionals in glass and glazing applications to achieve their desirable goals.

Originally from Thailand with a passion in sustainability and net-zero buildings, Yuwadee is a licensed Professional Engineer with a decade of experience in design and development of commercial framing systems as well as engineering for various cladding systems. She is based in Atlanta, Georgia where she is active  n urban revitalization and educational organizations.
